END OF THE ROAD FOR
OMISORE AS SUPREME COURT CONFIRMS AREGBESOLA AS GOVERNOR
The
end of the road came for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic
party in the August 9 poll in Osun Senator Iyiola Omisore as he lost today at
the apex court bringing to a final note his battle to upturn the victory of
Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
The
Supreme Court had fixed today for its decision having adopted the addresses of
the lawyers to both parties.
The
Supreme Court, just as in the earlier decision of the Appeal Court in Akure and
the State Election Petitions Tribunal, said Omisore failed to prove his case
against Aregbesola’s victory, affirming that the governor won the election
convincingly.
