The MTN Nigerian head office popularity known as the Golden plaza, situated at NO 1 Awolowo Road, Falomo, Ikoyi Lagos is presently under lock.
Paperena exclusively gathered that some Security Agents from the Economic and Crimes Commission had visited the Golden Plaza at the early hours of the day with instructions to seal up the plaza.
An inside source from the company reliably disclosed that the management of one of the giant Telecommunications companies in Africa was not prepared for this development.
According to the wingless Bird, he said : A mail was sent to all branch offices, informing the staff of the operation being carried out by the law enforcement agents.
“We were informed that operatives of the anti-graft agency came to do some investigation which requires them to shut down the head office of the company.
Speaking further, the source said, “though we don’t know what they are investigating but we have been informed by the management on the recent operations being carried out right now at our head office.
“Restriction of movement in and out has been curtailed. There is a communication to all staff that the Law Enforcement Agency is there to gather some unspecific information,” the source said.
