I LOVE BROADCASTING, IT’S ENTERTAIMENT IN TOTO – IYA AFIN



United Kingdom based, Nigerian born lady broadcaster, Omobolanle Oluwatoyin Famakinde popularly called Iya Afin has said her love for broadcasting is innate, as, it is also a good means of entertainment and communication intoto, lifting people out of dullness, and giving healing to the broken-hearted souls.

 Iya Afin who stated this at the weekend added that broadcasting and entertainment enlivens the heart, soul and spirit  of listeners/ viewers in all ramifications moreso as, you gladdens the hearts of others, so also yours and thus increasing their level of creativity, innovations and inventions.

Iya Afin who is a graduate of Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke a mother of 3 joined her husband in UK in 2005, and had since been presenting and broadcasting on air.

The Sweet velvet-tone voice broadcaster who has since carve a niche for herself in United Kingdom (UK) and some online radio stations, as her fans base on air continue to soar – in particular her Yoruba broadcasting programme called “Oyin Nii” and “Oyin Nii Ontv” Showing on the following tv stations – Tiwantiwa Tv Channel 111 on GOtv, Channel 137/554 on Nigbati Tv on Star Times and Channel 160 on St Yoruba on Star Times, Oyin ni afrobeatglobal (Online radio), hinted that the advent of new media brings connectivity through the world.

On her choice of Yoruba Language in broadcasting in the new media in UK she said, Yoruba language is universally acceptable as, she was born in Ile –Ife (The Source), my dad is from Edo State while my mum is from Ibadan, Nigeria, moreso, Yoruba language must not be  allowed to die, equally too, other indigenous languages.
Iya Afin urged other broadcasters to be cautious of their choice of words, so as not to commit people into sins and untowards ways of life… also, parents should send their  children to school, but, also make sure that these children are learning one skill or the other, even as they attend School.
