CHAIRMAN CFAO, CHIEF MOLADE OKOYA DIES AT 79 

The Nigerian social establishment has just lost its most prominent grand patriarch, Chief Molade Alexandria Okoya-Thomas, FCTA, MFR, OFR, KSS.
A very successful business Titan and sports enthusiast, Okoya-Thomas died a few hours ago. He was aged 79.

Okoya-Thomas was born in Lagos on 8 June 1935. He obtained his formal education at Princess School Lagos, Baptist Academy Lagos, Balham & Tooting College of Commerce London and Columbia University New York. He held the revered title of the Asoju Oba of Lagos, Babasuwa of Ijebu-Remo, Odofin of Ife, the Asalu Oba of Oke-Ona, Egbaland, among several other titles. Till his death, he was the Chancellor of Lagos State University and chairman of CFAO Nigeria Limited.
He is survived by his wife, Chief (Mrs) Olivia Abosede Okoya-Thomas, four children- Honourable Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, Tosin Alobo-Bakare, Yinka and Deji Okoya-Thomas.
