Juju Legend, King Sunny Ade Floats Radio Station


Foremost juju musician, King Sunny Ade, known for his energetic dance steps and mastering of the guitar has concluded plans to float a radio station.

Situated in his hometown in Ondo State, Nigeria, the radio station has been under construction works for several years and will start transmission before the end of the year.

It was gathered the radio station has been named M&C (Music and Culture) FM and will transmit to major cities in Nigeria, pending the time KSA and his team open another branch in Ibadan.

According to King Sunny Ade who reportedly applied for the license in 2006, the station is poised to be one of the best in the country.

On why the commencement of the radio station took so long, the juju king said: ‘Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. The NBC has its operational standard, so do I.”

“I deliberately took time off to carefully select a team of loyal partners who share (the) same vision on what a music station should be. Don’t forget also that this will be the first radio station in Nigeria that will be solely devoted to promoting our culture and our music,” he added.
