RT. HON WASIU ESHILOKUN SANNI EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Education Committee of Rt. Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni, Deputy Speaker Lagos State Office is pleased to announce new scholarship opportunities for Indigenous Lagos Island Constituency 1 students who have just gained admission into any tertiary institution within the country.

Through the generosity of the Rt. Hon Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni Education Foundation, hundreds of scholarships were awarded in his first tenure. Each scholarship included yearly financial support of a N100,000 each with a N960,000 to a virtually impaired student of Bethesda School for the Blind who gained admission into the University of Nigeria to study Social Science/Education, sponsorship of students who were admitted into Lagos State University and yearly distribution of GCE/UTME forms for prospective tertiary institution candidates.

In furtherance, 10 of the hundreds of beneficiaries in the last exercise will continue to benefit this year after submitting proof of passing examinations in their institutions.

This year's scholarship is restricted to students who have already gained admission into 2019/2020 calendar year with a letter of admission, copy of the WASC result, Secondary School Testimonial or any necessary document that may be of assistance, birth certificate and LASSRA ID. Application forms can be picked either at the Office of the Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly or Hon. Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni Constituency Office between June 24th to July 5th, 2019.

The Education Committee was established to offer educational support to indigenous Lagos Island Constituency 1 Students who performed excellently well at the UTME and already gained admission into a tertiary institution. The goal of the scholarship is to promote philanthropic spirit among students of his constituent as a form of motivation and succour to the parents.

The Deputy Speaker reiterated his commitment to improving the lives of the people in his constituency especially the leaders of tomorrow through empowerment, job creations, financial and educational support. He has equipped schools within the constituency with relevant resources, including rehabilitation, renovation, writing materials, luxury school buses, modern computers that help enrich and advance learning.

Hon. Eshilokun exists to serve his constituents with good representation and excellent stewardship.
