The youngest wife of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Olori Badirat Olaitan Adeyemi, who was one of the 2019 grandaunts at the University of Ibadan has narrated her painful moment as an undergraduate at the University, saying that she spent five years instead of two (2) years at the institution despite gaining admission into the University through Direct Entry (DE).

Penpushing reports that Olori Adeyemi popularly called ‘Queen Ola’ explained that she could not graduate earlier with her set, who had completed their Masters programme, because she was at that time a nursing mother who was busy brestfeeding her baby, and had no choice than to defer her admission

“I have gotten four (4) different certificates, I had Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE), from Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, Higher National Diploma (HND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, before I do Direct Entry (DE) to the University of Ibadan."

“I was about to give birth to my first son when I got admission to this institution, am in my second semester that I couldn't continue because I always have morning sickness and others. I have to defer it to next session, before the next session could come, I had the little boy but I have to nurse him which is another deferment."

"After six months, I resumed to school, I used to go to class in the morning and go back home in the afternoon for almost a year, when I stopped breastfeeding my baby, I couldn't graduate with the set I came in with (they are through with their Masters now), I couldn't graduate with the next set, but here I am today after five years instead of two years, because I came into University of Ibadan through direct entry."

""Today is one of the happiest day in my life, you could remember the day I signed out, I said it was a story for another day, yes, today is the day. All I have to say is Alihamdulilahi, it is Allah's wishes and it has been written", she expressed with joy
