Dr. Obesere was honored for his robust contribution to the Entertainment Industry in Nigeria.
After the presentation of the commendation letter to Obesre at Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, the President of the association, Mr Joshua Uloko, said the honour bestowed on Obesere didn't come on a platter of gold, as their was rigorous screening for 15 entertainers before he emerged top on the list. Uloko advised Dr. Abass Akande Obesere to be a good ambassador of the association.
The financial Secretary of the association, Mr. John Thompson, also urged the Fuji Legend to use his position to support the up coming artistes to grow.
Responding, Akande Abass Obesere, the Agbaakin of Yorubaland, said ''im very glad and humble by the honor bestowed on me by CJPAN, and I promise to be a good ambassador of the association. This honor will further solidify my relationship within my brand and the association.
Akande seizes the opportunity to notify the association that by 2020, his brand will be renamed.

CJPAN-How did you get inspiration when it comes to delivering stage performance?
Obesere-I don't need to rehearse when it comes to live performance. I'm a professional and seeing people on the seats inspire my performance
CJPAN- What inspire your strength on stage?
Obesere-I neither take drugs nor take alcoholic, my performance on stage is natural
CJPAN-What new thing are you working on?
Obesere+ My new album titled Stand Out will be released in 2020
CJPAN- You were honored with the chieftaincy title of Agbaakin of yorubaland recently, why did you think you deserve the title?
Obesere- Before they give someone a chieftaincy title in yorubaland, they must have noticed a good thing about the person.. Definitely, his royal majesty must have seen some unique things in me and one thing about me is that I value people and respect them a lot and whoever that has been opportuned to meet me would have one or two things from me
CJPAN- Some upcoming artistes complain that the older musicians do not want them to grow. What is your reaction?
Obesere- I don't discourage an upcoming artistes. I'm always ready to support and contribute my quota to their upliftment. However, my advice to them is that they must be unique, work hard and prayerful.
CJPAN- What message should we expect from your coming album, Stand Out?
Obesere- They are uncountable.
CJPAN-How many tracks are in it?
Obesere-It has six tracks.
CJPAN- Which political party do you belong now?
Obesere- I've decamped to APC
CJPAN- What's the relationship between you and IBB?
Obesere-Babangida is like a father to me, I don't knock the door of his house before I enter.
CJPAN- What is the relationship between you, Pasuma, K1(Wasiu Ayinde) and Osupa?
Obesere-We are all colleagues and we have cordial relationship among ourselves.
CJPAN- Are you satisfied with the level of development in Fuji industry?
Obesere-I'm satisfied.
