CRISIS IN ORILE-MAROKO OVER CHIEFTAINCY TITLE

...…OBA TIJANI AKINLOYE AND ETI-OSA LG ALLEGED OF FUELING THE CRISIS

It is believed that a community can only have peace when there is a leader and the citizens respects the laid down rules.

However, reversed is the case of government resettlement area, New Orile-Maroko, Ajah-Ilaje, Ajah Lagos as the peace in the community seems to be under treat.

The crisis and battle between the ruling house of Orile-Maroko if not settled in time, may lead to serious unrest in the community. The state government need to intervene as a matter of urgency, as the office of chieftaincy in Eti-Osa local Government and king of Ojomu-Ajiran kingdom, Oba Tijani Akinloye Ojomu has allegedly been contributing to the crisis brewing as a result of chieftaincy (Baale) tussle in the community.

It was leant that after the death of the second Baale of Orile-Maroko, Saliu Lawal Opeseyi from Aina Opeseyi family in 2015, the community through the head of the Families (six ruling house), the Olori Ebi of Maroko, Alhaji Faruq Raheem Amosu Akinyele has appointed the next person, Ayinde Ismail Akinyele from Raheem Amosu ruling house/family as the rightful person to be installed as the next Baale of the New Orile-Maroko.
              Mr Ayinde Ismail Akinyele

Mr Ayinde Ismail Akinyele was presented through letter to Eti-Osa local government for approval according to the constitution. The head of the families, Alhaji Faruq Raheem Amosu Akinyele presented the next approve Baale to the Obas in council in Eti-Osa local government for approval. But the next candidate for Baale was not approve by Eti-Osa local Government from the office of the secretary to Chieftaincy Obas and chiefs. It was alleged that the secretary to chieftaincy of Obas and chief office of the local government, Mr Jubril Martins told the rightful person that another person has shown up from another family.

According to the spokesman from Amosu Akinyele family, Usman Idris told us that after all necessary documents and video evidenced has being presented to the local government and the Obas in council Eti-Osa local government that their family is the next ruling house according to rotational law approved by the Obas in council, local government, state government ratification but nothing has being heard from the local government. “All that the local government keep saying is that we should be patience despite the fact that we have waited close to two years and all necessary dues has been paid to the council has required by the law but nothing has been done. “He added that the local government is not helping the mater as he keep delaying.

In lieu, our findings revealed that another person, Adisa Adewale Lateef was alleged by Mr Jubril Martins to be in the contest. Mr Adisa Adewale who was alleged to be claiming to be entitle to the throne from another ruling house against the ratification order by the local government, Obas in council of Eti-Osa, and state has been going around in the community to collect some fee belonging to the community from the people, which they (community) ask him to stop collecting, and asked him to come and account for what he has collected but he refuse and this has lead to serious crisis in the town.

It was also alleged that Mr jubril Martins Secretariat, which is in charge of chieftaincy in the council has continue to extort money from both candidates and telling the rightful candidate, Mr Ayinde Ismail Akinyele not to worry that all necessary steps will be taken by the state government and Oba Tijani Akinloye Ojomu but nothing was

has been done close to two years. It was also alleged that Mr Jubril Martins has been using the name of Oba Tijani Akinloye Ojomu to disapprove and delay Mr Ayinde Ismail Akinyele’s right to become the next Baale of New Orile-Maroko.

Meanwhile, documents, voices and videos obtained by us shows that Mr Ayinde Ismaila , head of the families and community has taken all necessary steps including series of peace meeting with the local government and Oba Tijani Akinloye Ojomu himself to follow the rotational rules approved by local, state government and Obas in -council in other to allow peace to reign in New Orile-Maroko.

They also wrote to all stakeholders including the police to inform them of crisis that may arise in the community.

Information also made available to us reaveled that Alhaji Muyibi who is a politician and close friend to Oba Tijani Akinloye Ojomu is the one Adisa Adewale Lateef has been using to influence Oba Tijani Akinloye Ojomu to imposed him as next Baale.

Meanwhile, we put a call and text message through to Mr Jubril Martins to react to the above allegations and here is his response: “thanks, all these allegations were false and not the true picture concerning the matter. The party or parties that supplied these allegations were just out to tarnish our image. The right to install and uninstall is on the overlord, who’s presently looking into the maters. Thanks,” he said.

We further asked him who is the overlord and why the council has not forwarded the rightful name to the state government for approval and planning to install the wrong person on the throne?

He replies with: “wrong information,

and that no one had been installed also. I think that answers all.

We further asked him to clear the air on who the overlord to install and unstall is and this is his response “from our reckoning, the overlord was still mediating on the matter, hence pending his actions on same. That’s I can say on the matter, thanks”

Also we visited the palace of Oba Tijani Akinloye Ojomu for clearification on the side of the King but we meant his absence while his secretary told us to make it formal by writing a letter to the palace. We wrote a letter to the King for his own reactions on all the allegations against him but no response has been received till we went to press three days after droping the letter which was acknowledged by his secretary.

Meanwhile, the chieftaincy Constitution stated that the secretary to the local government of the competent council shall announce the name of the ruling house entitled according to customary law to provide a candidate to fill that vacancy within thirty (30) days after the announcement by the secretary to the local government, the members of the ruling house acting either jointly or severally shall submit the name of a candidate or candidates to the kingmaker. While within seven (7) days after the submission of the names of a candidate or candidates the kingmakers shall proceed to select a person to fill the vacancy , the nomination must be approved by by the Oba Ojomu of Ajiran who is the consenting authority.

Videos and voice of all that transpare between all the parties to show that Ayinde Ismail Akinyele is the rightful candidate will  be release on our online television soon.
