Masqueraders beat C.A.C pastors inside church


Four masqueraders reportedly stormed a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church in Epinmi Akoko in the Akoko Northwest Local Government Area of Ondo State and beat up the pastors while the church service was ongoing.
According to a source, the masqueraders forced their way into the church and went straight to where the pastors were sitting and flogged them. It was learnt that two of the pastors, identified as Jacob Ogunmola and Kehinde Ilori, were injured by the masqueraders
The source added that while the pastors were being flogged, the members of the church fled.
The source also explained that the reason behind the action of the masqueraders had yet to be known.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Wole Ogodo, confirmed the incident and said one person, Tunde Arohunmolase, was arrested, adding that he had made useful statement.
He said the two pastors that were injured had been treated and discharged from the hospital, adding that the fleeing masqueraders would soon be arrested.
