The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area of Lagos State congratulated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday’s judgement of the Supreme Court which affirmed him as the winner of the 2023 governorship election in Lagos.
The Supreme Court earlier on Friday affirmed the election of Sanwo-Olu, which was earlier upheld by the tribunal and Appeal Court in the state.
The court dismissed the appeal by the Labour Party candidate for lack of merit.
Ogundare in a congratulatory message posted via his social media handles said the judgment by the apex court was an attestation that Lagosians trooped out in large numbers to vote for Sanwo-Olu in the governorship elections of 2023.
“ On behalf of my family and the good people of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, I congratulate our indefatigable Governor and worthy son of the soil; Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy; Dr Obafemi Kadri Hamzat on their well earned victory at the Supreme Court today.
Your victory is indeed an attestation to the will of all Lagosians who came out en masse to cast their ballots at the general elections of February 2023.
Since the Supreme Court has finally resolved all election-related issues, I have no doubt that Lagosians will further witness more development in all areas," Ogundare said
