The Amir (Spiritual Head), AS-SALAM Praying Centre Nigeria, and National President, Islamic Progressives Association of Nigeria (IPAN) Sheik RahmanAdegboyegaLawalhas called on the Federal Government alongside the Governors in their states need to proffer immediate solutions to the pains and agonies the masses are going through.
Sheik RahmanLawal who stated this in his Ramadan message added that on the hard times Nigerians are facing, we now hear unpalatable news of
terror, anguish, sadness, kidnapping, bare faced wickedness and of hopelessness, such that, frustration is written on the faces of many
people, there are dashed hope, thus, it has become clear to many people that there is no solution from man, but only solution to the numerous hardships facing mankind, is in Almighty.
Sheik RahmanLawal further added that there is no doubt that most Nigerians are passing through tough times, enduring much pains and sufferings and even a lot-like-lack of electricity to power their homes, high cost of food stuffs, joblessness, a high poverty incidence and hunger, as all these have overbearing and negative multiplier effects on the people’s livelihood.
Sheik RahmanLawal also pointed out that Government should make some moves to salvage the situations and ensure that the nation is healed, of many people who placed their trust and hope in earthly authorities have had their hopes dashed, and the numerous hardship and challenges that the world are experiencing today, are the fulfillments of the scriptures.
Sheik RahmanLawal also admonished Nigerians that theyshould not dwell in hopelessness to the point of seeking solutions to their problems in wrong quarters, as the situation demands divine intervention, also we
need not shed innocent blood in our desire to make it in life.
Sheik RahmanLawal called on Nigerians that they should always respect constituted authority rather than wishing them evil, thus we should trust in God for the country to overcome its socio-political, economic
and spiritual challenges.
The Islamic Cleric also addressed The Federal Government to declare state of emergency on unemployment, as, governments at all levels,
must put in place sound economic framework to tackle unemployment.
To better the society, Sheik RahmanLawal quoted Quran 8:53“Because God will never change The Grace which He hath bestowed on a people until
they change what is in there (own) soul.Verily God is He who hearth and knoweth (all things)” and Quran 13:11 “…Verily never will God change the condition of A people until they change it themselves (with
their own souls)”. But when (once) God willeth a people’s punishment there can be no turning it back, nor will they find besides Him and
they protect”.
