Obanikoro commissions De-Rrinocc Link bridge in Oke Ogbere


A laudable excitement and jubilation among motorists and community of Ogbere as De prinocc link bridge around Ago palace Lagos state was commissioned penultimate week.

Traditional chiefs, Council Chairmen, politicians and high profile personalities were all gathered to witness the histrionic event.

The engineer and manager of the Re- prinocc construction company Ambassador Yommy Ogungbe disclosed that the project was majorily for the people to have easy access to others link roads to their various destinations .


According to Ogungbe, “ The Lagos state government and local government councils are aware of this project. The project is under national inland waterways authority who has control and jurisdiction over all waters in the country.

“Where the bridge been constructed constructed under international waterways that links other water from Oke Ogbere, Festac , Orile, CMS, Mile2, Badgry , Ojo and outside Nigeria which the national inland waterways authority have right over the water,” he emphasised.

 He added that any banks of water national inland waterways authority (NIWA) have 100 metres both right and left from all the banks of water .


“ For instance, where this particular bridge been constructed under 100 metres of Inland waterway authority has been approved by (NIWA) and revenue generated pay to the authority.

Former minster for state defence Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who commissioned the project said he feciliates with Re-Prinnoc Company and Ambassador Yommy Ogunbge on the loudable project for the people of this community. He urged that the community should manage and protect the infrastructure properly . Government alone can't provides infrastructure as there are scarcity of funds to build infrastructure in all the state .



We observed that the bridge is constructed with dual paths for both vehicles and pedestrians lanes, 24/7 closed Circuit Television (CCTV) , lights, 100KVA standby generator and security personnel.
