Several customers of Banking Giants, United Bank for Africa have expressed their displeasure over what they tagged as illegal and unexplained withdrawal of funds in their accounts.

This was also confirmed by our reporters who visited some branches of the bank to ask from groaning customers who gathered at the bank’s entrance to demand for a detailed explanation of the deductions.

According to information, the deduction varied from N800 – N1,200, and was described as too gruesome especially at a time like this.

Furthermore, Customers made it known that they get multiple stamp duty deductions from a single transaction with the bank.

All efforts to get attention from the bank’s Media Relations Officer proved abortive. Up till the Time of filing this report, any reaction hasn’t been made by the bank.
